
Sha'ab Umm Usk is a beginner-friendly dive in the Strait of Gubal, Egypt's Red Sea, offering a relaxed reef experience. The sheltered reef features gentle slopes covered in pristine hard corals, with pockets of soft coral adding color. The site is known for its resident turtle population and frequent sightings of Napoleon wrasse. Schools of anthias, bannerfish, and chromis create a lively atmosphere. Calm conditions and easy depth make it a favorite between-wreck dive on liveaboard itineraries through the Gubal strait.
