Stingray Station is a beginner-friendly dive in the Strait of Gubal, Egypt's Red Sea, named for the large population of blue-spotted and cowtail stingrays found resting on the sandy bottom. The gentle terrain features scattered coral patches among white sand, creating a habitat where rays are almost always present. Pufferfish, garden eels, and flatfish add to the sandy bottom life. The calm, shallow conditions make it an ideal site for underwater photography, especially for divers wanting close encounters with these graceful rays.
