Thomas Reef Canyon is a dive at a dramatic underwater canyon cutting through Thomas Reef in the Strait of Tiran. The narrow canyon walls are covered in spectacular soft corals, with shafts of light penetrating from above to create magical lighting effects. Glassfish and sweepers fill the canyon in dense schools, while lionfish and groupers lurk in the shadows. The canyon opens to the deeper wall where currents may bring pelagic encounters. This combination of canyon topography and world-class coral makes it one of Tiran's most photogenic sites.
