El Cañón is a beginner-friendly shore dive in Morro Jable on the southern coast of Fuerteventura, reaching a maximum depth of 14 meters. The site features a volcanic rock canyon formation that channels divers through a dramatic narrow passage, opening into a wider reef area beyond. The canyon walls shelter moray eels, octopuses, and nudibranchs, while the surrounding reef is home to parrotfish, trumpetfish, and schools of Atlantic damselfish. Angel sharks frequent the sandy patches nearby during winter months. The easy shore access, moderate depth, and sheltered canyon make El Cañón an ideal introduction to Fuerteventura's underwater world and a reliable dive in most conditions.
