El Faro is a beginner-friendly dive site near the Fuencaliente lighthouse at the southernmost point of La Palma. This iconic location offers diving along dramatic volcanic cliffs that plunge into the deep Atlantic, with the underwater terrain reflecting the island's raw volcanic beauty. The basalt rock formations create overhangs and small caves where groupers, moray eels, and large parrotfish find shelter. The exposed southern tip brings occasional currents that attract barracuda and amberjack, while the clear oceanic waters provide excellent visibility. Diving beneath the historic lighthouse adds a unique atmosphere to this already spectacular site on La Palma's wild southern coast.
