Fraggle Rock is an exciting advanced dive site off La Herradura on Spain's Costa Tropical, named for its whimsical collection of colorful rock formations and caves. The site features a complex terrain of volcanic boulders, overhangs, and small caverns adorned with sponges, cup corals, and gorgonian fans in vibrant yellows and reds. Large conger eels and moray eels lurk in the caves, while scorpionfish and octopuses blend seamlessly into the rocky backdrop. The deeper sections attract groupers and occasional passing eagle rays. This site demands good navigation skills due to its labyrinthine layout, but rewards adventurous divers with one of the Costa Tropical's most visually stunning underwater environments.
