Puerto Naos is a beginner-friendly shore dive on the western coast of La Palma, accessible from the black volcanic sand beach of this small resort village. The site features a gentle volcanic reef sloping into the Atlantic, with lava rock formations creating sheltered areas for diverse Canarian marine life. Trumpetfish, parrotfish, and ornate wrasse are regular sightings, while octopuses and cuttlefish hide among the dark volcanic rocks. The warm, clear waters and easy entry conditions make Puerto Naos an excellent choice for training dives and first-time ocean experiences. The dramatic backdrop of volcanic cliffs above water complements the underwater scenery.
