Punta Restinga is an advanced dive site off the southernmost tip of El Hierro near the village of La Restinga, reaching 40 meters depth. This legendary Canarian dive site features dramatic volcanic walls dropping into the deep Atlantic, where the island's marine reserve status ensures exceptional biodiversity. Large pelagic species are the main attraction — hammerhead sharks, manta rays, and massive schools of jacks regularly pass through these nutrient-rich waters. The walls are covered in black coral, gorgonians, and deep-water sponges, while resident groupers of enormous size guard the deeper ledges. El Hierro's crystalline waters provide outstanding visibility, often exceeding 40 meters, making Punta Restinga a world-class diving destination.
