Sunset Beach is a relaxed shore dive site near Benalmádena on Spain's Costa del Sol, offering easy access to Mediterranean marine life. This beginner-friendly site features a sandy bottom with scattered rocky outcrops and patches of Posidonia seagrass that create diverse microhabitats. Divers can observe cuttlefish, octopuses, and small seahorses hiding in the seagrass, while moray eels and blennies peer from the rocks. Schools of bream and mullet are common, and during warmer months, flying gurnards occasionally make an appearance. The gentle conditions and shallow depths make Sunset Beach an ideal location for training dives, night dives, and relaxed recreational diving along the Malaga coast.
