Eira is an advanced dive site off the Helsinki waterfront in Southern Finland, named after the historic Eira district of the capital. The site offers deep diving along underwater rock formations and old harbour structures in the urban waters of the Gulf of Finland. Despite its city location, the site hosts surprising marine life including Baltic herring schools, flounder, and occasional seals. The depth and variable visibility demand advanced skills and dry suit proficiency. Eira provides a unique urban diving experience where Finland's maritime heritage meets modern Helsinki, accessible year-round for properly equipped divers.
