Kinisselkä

Kinisselkä is an advanced dive site in the Finnish archipelago of Southern Finland, located in the open Baltic waters. This challenging Nordic site features deeper water with granite bedrock formations and possible wreck remains from centuries of maritime traffic through the Finnish archipelago. The cold, dark waters require proper thermal protection and good cold-water diving skills. Visibility varies significantly with seasons and conditions, with late summer typically offering the best clarity. The Baltic's unique brackish ecosystem supports species like pike, perch, and various invertebrates adapted to the low-salinity environment. Advanced certification, drysuit experience, and familiarity with cold-water diving are essential for this site.
