Vuohijärvi is an intermediate freshwater lake dive in the Finnish Lakeland of Southern Finland, offering deeper exploration for divers ready to venture beyond beginner sites. This large lake features interesting underwater topography with steep drop-offs, submerged rock formations, and deep channels carved by ancient glacial activity. The clear water supports good visibility, revealing a world of aquatic plants, crayfish, and large predatory pike that patrol the deeper sections. A well-defined thermocline creates distinct temperature layers, with cooler water below 10 metres adding to the site's character. Popular with regional dive clubs for its variety of dive profiles.
