North Save-a-tack is an intermediate dive site in the Somosomo Strait off Vanua Levu, Fiji, located in the famous passage known for some of the world's best soft coral diving. The site features a series of coral bommies and ridges decorated with massive soft coral formations in brilliant pinks, yellows, and purples. The nutrient-rich currents flowing through the strait fuel this extraordinary growth. Anemonefish, anthias, and damselfish cloud the reef in shimmering shoals, while larger species including grey reef sharks and eagle rays cruise by in the blue. Timing dives with the current is essential for a comfortable and rewarding experience at this classic Fijian site.
