Nuggets is a beginner-friendly dive site off Vanua Levu in Fiji, where a collection of small coral bommies — the 'nuggets' — dot a sandy seabed in relatively shallow, calm water. Each bommie is a miniature ecosystem, bursting with hard and soft corals that shelter a remarkable diversity of reef fish. Anemonefish guard their hosts, gobies perch on coral branches, and hawkfish survey their domain from elevated positions. The gentle conditions and compact layout make Nuggets perfect for new divers and underwater photographers who can spend entire dives exploring just a few bommies. Warm Fijian waters of 26-29°C add to the comfort.
