Oeil de la Doue, meaning 'Eye of the Spring' in French, is an advanced cave diving site in the Midi-Pyrénées where a karst spring emerges through an alluring pool that marks the entrance to a subterranean siphon system. The poetic name reflects the site's beautiful surface appearance — a clear, deep-blue pool in the limestone landscape. Below the surface, submerged galleries extend into the bedrock, requiring full cave diving equipment and certification. The spring water is remarkably clear, and the geological formations within the cave system include features shaped by millennia of underground water flow. One of the more atmospheric cave diving experiences in southern France.
