Castle Beach is a shore dive in Falmouth, Cornwall, offering access to a rocky reef environment reaching around 8 meters depth beneath the imposing Pendennis Castle headland. Despite the moderate depth, the advanced rating reflects the exposure to swells and currents that can develop around the headland. The rocky terrain hosts wrasse, blennies, crabs, small lobsters, and various nudibranchs among kelp-covered boulders and sandy gullies. The site provides a more challenging alternative to the nearby Gyllyngvase Beach, with stronger currents bringing richer marine life. Castle Beach is used by Falmouth dive clubs when conditions permit, offering scenic diving with the dramatic castle ruins visible from the water.
