Koutalas Beach - right side

Koutalas Beach - Right Side is a beginner-friendly shore dive near the Almyrida area on Crete's north coast. The right side of the beach slopes gently into clear blue water, with a mix of sand and rocky reef creating diverse habitats. Small caves and overhangs along the rock formations provide shelter for groupers, moray eels, and lobsters. The shallows are alive with schools of chromis, ornate wrasse, and painted combers. Sea urchins and starfish dot the rocky surfaces, while Posidonia beds extend across the sandy patches. The bay is well-protected from northerly winds, offering reliable diving conditions. A great spot for combining beach time with easy underwater exploration.
