2nd Gulf of Vouliagmeni is an intermediate dive site near Vouliagmeni on the Athenian Riviera, reaching depths of up to 30 meters. This sheltered inlet south of Athens offers a progressively deepening reef system with walls, overhangs, and boulder fields. The deeper sections reveal gorgonian fans and larger sponge colonies, while the shallower areas support typical Mediterranean reef life. Groupers, moray eels, and scorpionfish inhabit the deeper rocky areas, and schools of bream patrol above. The protected gulf waters provide reliable visibility and calm conditions. A satisfying intermediate dive that offers more depth and marine life diversity than the nearby beginner sites along the Athenian coast.
