Triton Caverns is an advanced cave dive near the Sporades islands in the western Aegean. This extensive cavern system features dramatic limestone formations with stalactites, stalagmites, and flowstone columns created during ice ages when sea levels were lower. Divers navigate through spacious chambers connected by passages of varying width, with natural light filtering into some sections. The cave walls host specialized fauna including cave shrimp and lobsters, while the entrance zone supports typical Mediterranean reef life. The clear, calm Sporades waters provide good visibility at the cave mouth. Proper cave diving training and equipment are essential. A world-class cave diving experience in Greek waters.
