Samos Cape Prasso is a beginner-friendly dive site on the island of Samos in the eastern Aegean, near the cape that marks one of the closest points between Greece and Turkey. The underwater terrain gently slopes from shore over a mix of rock, sand, and Posidonia seagrass beds. The sheltered aspect of the cape provides calm conditions suitable for new divers and training courses. Marine life is abundant: wrasse, damselfish, sea bream, and blennies populate the reef, while octopus and cuttlefish hide among the rocks. The unique geographic position near the Turkish coast means occasional sightings of species more common in eastern Mediterranean waters. Good visibility year-round.
