Samos Kerveli Reef is a beginner-friendly dive site in Kerveli Bay on the east coast of Samos. This sheltered reef system lies in a calm bay that provides ideal conditions for new divers and training courses. The reef features a gentle slope of rocky formations interspersed with sandy patches and Posidonia seagrass beds. Marine life is abundant and varied: colourful wrasse, damselfish, and sea bream patrol the reef, while octopus, nudibranchs, and small cuttlefish hide among the rocks. The clear eastern Aegean waters provide good visibility, and the proximity to Turkey's coast occasionally brings species from warmer eastern waters. A reliable, all-season dive site popular with local dive centres.
