Western Shoals is a beginner-friendly dive site in Guam's Apra Harbor, featuring a shallow coral reef with easy access and consistently calm conditions. The reef plateau hosts a remarkable density of marine life relative to its shallow depth, with anemonefish, triggerfish, and moorish idols among the colorful residents. Sea turtles regularly cruise through, and the sandy areas between coral patches reveal garden eels and mantis shrimp burrows. The reliable conditions and abundant marine encounters make Western Shoals an excellent training and recreational dive site.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
