Butcher's Bank is an advanced dive off Roatán's West End, reaching 30 meters at a prominent underwater ridge that attracts impressive pelagic action. The bank rises from deeper water, creating a current-swept promontory where schools of jacks, barracuda, and horse-eye jacks congregate. The reef crest is covered in healthy hard corals with cleaning stations frequented by groupers and snappers. Spotted eagle rays and occasional reef sharks cruise the deeper water around the bank, making this one of the more exciting open-water reef dives on Roatán's western tip.
