The Cave

The Cave is an advanced dive site off Roatán reaching 30 meters, featuring a large underwater cavern system carved into the reef wall. The main chamber opens through a wide entrance on the wall face, with light filtering in to illuminate the interior's coral and sponge-encrusted walls. Nurse sharks often rest inside the cave, while the entrance attracts schools of silversides that create shimmering curtains. The surrounding wall is rich with sea fans, barrel sponges, and deep-water gorgonians, making the approach as rewarding as the cave itself.
