Batu Lima is a scenic dive site in the Raja Ampat archipelago, featuring five limestone rock islets—batu lima meaning 'five rocks' in Indonesian—rising from a coral reef platform surrounded by deep water. The underwater landscape offers a mix of wall diving, slope diving, and current-swept channels between the rocks, with excellent hard and soft coral coverage throughout. Schools of fusiliers, sweetlips, and trevally sweep between the rocks, while the walls host gorgonian fans and barrel sponges with pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs hiding among them. Wobbegong sharks rest in the overhangs, and reef sharks patrol the deeper channels. The shallow areas between the rocks create natural aquariums with dense coral gardens and clouds of reef fish. Moderate currents make Batu Lima suitable for intermediate divers, offering a varied and visually stunning dive that showcases Raja Ampat's legendary marine biodiversity.
