Friwen Wall is a spectacular wall dive off Friwen Island in the northern Dampier Strait of Raja Ampat, renowned for its pristine hard coral gardens and vibrant reef fish populations. The wall drops from a shallow plateau at 3 meters to about 25 meters, adorned with dense table corals, staghorn formations, and massive brain corals that represent some of the healthiest reef coverage in Raja Ampat. The wall face hosts gorgonian fans, barrel sponges, and soft corals in vivid colors, while the sheer density of reef fish—anthias, damselfish, chromis, wrasses, and butterflyfish—creates a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of movement and color. Wobbegong sharks hide under table corals, and hawksbill turtles glide along the wall edge. Mild to moderate currents and limited depth make Friwen Wall accessible to intermediate divers, offering a relaxed yet visually stunning dive that perfectly showcases why Raja Ampat is considered the crown jewel of global coral reef ecosystems.
