Manta Bay 3, known as The Crack, is a unique dive site on the southwest coast of Nusa Penida where a narrow fissure in the reef creates a dramatic underwater canyon. The crack itself is a swim-through passage at around 10 to 15 meters depth, with walls covered in colorful sponges and soft corals. The site lies in the Manta Bay area where oceanic manta rays frequently visit cleaning stations, and divers may encounter these magnificent creatures either within the bay or during the approach to the crack. Beyond the mantas, the reef supports schools of sweetlips, batfish, and fusiliers, while blue-spotted stingrays rest on sandy patches and reef octopus hide in crevices. Moderate currents and the intermediate-friendly depth make The Crack accessible to confident divers, combining the excitement of manta ray potential with the adventure of exploring a unique geological formation.
