Banco di Santa Croce is a legendary seamount rising from the depths near the Sorrento coast, one of the Gulf of Naples' premier dive sites. The pinnacle ascends from beyond 50 meters to within 12 meters of the surface, its walls hosting an extraordinary concentration of Mediterranean red coral, gorgonians, and sponges. Large schools of barracuda and amberjack circle the summit, while deeper sections reveal black coral and rare deep-water species. The site's exposure and depth make it a challenging advanced dive, but the pristine marine ecosystem rewards with some of the finest underwater scenery in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
