Punta Levante is an advanced dive on the eastern face of Tavolara island in Sardinia's marine protected area, where dramatic granite walls plunge steeply into deep water. The east-facing exposure catches the morning sun, illuminating dense gorgonian gardens, massive barrel sponges, and vibrant encrusting organisms. Large grouper, barracuda, and schools of amberjack patrol the wall, while lobsters and moray eels hide in the crevices. The Tavolara reserve's exceptional water clarity often exceeds 30 meters, revealing the full majesty of this impressive underwater cliff face.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
