Punta Omo Morto is an intermediate dive on the eastern coast of Ustica island, descending to 30 meters along a volcanic wall rich in Mediterranean marine life. The dark basalt formations are covered in colorful sponges, sea fans, and patches of golden zoanthids. Ustica's marine reserve ensures impressive fish populations — grouper of all sizes, barracuda, and schools of bream are constant companions. The volcanic rock creates dramatic light and shadow effects as divers descend the wall. An excellent intermediate option for those wanting to experience Ustica's legendary underwater biodiversity without the demands of the deepest sites.
