Secca di Bocche di Puglia is a submerged shoal rising from the Adriatic seabed off the Puglia coastline near Brindisi. The reef structure reaches up to 30 meters depth, where currents sweeping through the channel attract pelagic visitors including amberjacks, barracuda, and occasional eagle rays. The rocky pinnacle is draped in yellow gorgonians and orange sponges, creating a Mediterranean color palette against the blue water column. Moray eels and conger eels occupy crevices in the reef, while scorpionfish blend perfectly with the encrusted surfaces. This site rewards patient observation — the open-water setting means marine life encounters vary with seasons and currents, making each dive unique.
