Stalattiti Cave is an advanced cave dive near Capo Galera off Alghero in northwestern Sardinia, where an underwater entrance leads into chambers decorated with ancient stalactites and stalagmites. These formations, created when the cave was above sea level during the last ice age, shimmer in torchlight. The cave interior hosts lobsters, shrimp, and encrusting sponges adapted to low-light environments. Reaching a maximum depth of 18 meters, the cave system is manageable for experienced divers with proper training. A geological marvel that transports divers thousands of years into Sardinia's prehistoric past.
