Punta Secca is an advanced dive site in Puglia's Salento region, where a rocky promontory extends underwater into a dramatic drop-off descending beyond 40 meters. The deep walls host impressive gorgonian gardens, large sponges, and patches of Mediterranean red coral in the deeper sections. Strong currents attract pelagic species including barracuda and amberjack, while the wall's many crevices shelter lobsters and large moray eels. The combination of depth, current, and exposed position demands solid experience, but the pristine deep-water scenery makes this one of Salento's finest dives.
