Torre Squillace is a relaxed beginner dive in Puglia's Salento region, set below another of the area's iconic coastal watchtowers. The site offers a gently sloping seabed of rock and sand, with scattered boulders hosting diverse invertebrate life including sea urchins, starfish, and colorful nudibranchs. Posidonia beds in the shallows provide shelter for pipefish and small rays. Visibility is generally good, reaching 15 meters or more in summer. A peaceful dive that showcases the understated beauty of the southern Italian Adriatic coastline.
