South Canyon, Canyon and Dolphin Point is an intermediate dive site complex off the Watamu coast in Kenya, combining three interconnected underwater features into one spectacular dive. The canyon system cuts through the reef at depths reaching 28 meters, with vertical walls adorned with gorgonians, soft corals, and dense sponge colonies. The narrow passages channel currents that concentrate fish life — schools of snappers, sweetlips, and batfish fill the canyon corridors. Dolphin Point earned its name from the pod of bottlenose dolphins that frequently passes through the area, and lucky divers occasionally encounter them underwater. Large pelagic visitors including eagle rays, manta rays in season, and reef sharks add big-animal excitement. The Watamu Marine Park's protection ensures exceptional marine health throughout the site. This multi-feature dive offers something for every interest — dramatic topography, abundant fish life, and the possibility of dolphin encounters.
