
Butterfish Bay is a beginner-friendly dive site in Tasmania, Australia. At just 5 meters depth, this sheltered bay offers calm conditions ideal for training dives and snorkeling. The sandy bottom with scattered rocky reef patches hosts various temperate species including butterfish (from which it takes its name), seahorses, pipefish, and small octopus. The protected location makes it one of the most accessible dive sites in the area, perfect for new divers.
