
Observatory is a beginner-friendly dive and snorkel site at Great Keppel Island off the coast of Yeppoon in Central Queensland. At just 6 meters depth, this shallow coral reef offers crystal-clear tropical waters with easy access from the beach. The reef features healthy hard coral coverage with staghorn and plate corals, home to anemonefish, parrotfish, and sea turtles. It's an ideal spot for first-time divers and snorkelers wanting to experience the southern Great Barrier Reef.
