Shelving beach

Shelving Beach is a beginner-friendly shore dive at Great Keppel Island in Central Queensland. With a maximum depth of just 5 meters, this gently sloping reef offers the perfect introduction to Great Barrier Reef diving. The shallow coral gardens feature colorful hard corals, anemones with resident clownfish, and various reef fish species. Turtles frequently visit the area, and the clear warm water and easy beach entry make it ideal for snorkeling, discover scuba experiences, and new divers.
