Middle Island

Middle Island is a beginner-friendly dive site near Warrnambool on Victoria's Shipwreck Coast. This sheltered site reaches 14 meters depth and offers a mix of rocky reef, kelp forests, and sandy patches. The island provides natural protection from prevailing swells, creating calmer conditions ideal for less experienced divers. Marine life includes cuttlefish, blue-ringed octopus, various ray species, sea stars, and an abundance of colorful temperate reef fish navigating through the kelp canopy.
