The Whale

The Whale is an intermediate dive site at Milln Reef on the outer Great Barrier Reef. This distinctive site at 30 meters features a whale-shaped coral formation that gives the dive its memorable name. The formation's contours create interesting swim-throughs and overhangs that shelter a variety of marine life. The site supports healthy coral gardens and is frequented by sea turtles, Maori wrasse, and reef sharks. With good visibility and moderate currents, it offers a consistently enjoyable dive.
