The Wild Side

The Wild Side is an intermediate dive site at Milln Reef on the exposed outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Living up to its name, this 30-meter site faces the open Coral Sea and experiences stronger currents that bring in nutrient-rich water and larger marine visitors. The reef wall drops steeply, decorated with vibrant soft corals, large gorgonian fans, and barrel sponges. Pelagic species including grey reef sharks, tuna, and mackerel are regularly spotted in the blue beyond the wall.
