Whale Watching Platform is an intermediate dive site at Kurnell in Botany Bay, Sydney. This exposed rocky reef at 24 meters depth gets its name from the headland above, famous for whale watching. Underwater, the site features dramatic boulder formations with swim-throughs and overhangs hosting dense sponge gardens and gorgonian fans. Strong currents attract schools of kingfish, trevally, and occasionally grey nurse sharks. The site is best dived in calm conditions with moderate experience.
