Julie's Jungle

Julie's Jungle at Lighthouse Reef is a beginner-friendly site named for its dense coral growth that resembles a lush underwater jungle. The reef here is exceptionally healthy, with overlapping plates of lettuce coral, towering pillar corals, and thick stands of elkhorn coral creating a complex three-dimensional habitat. The jungle-like canopy shelters an incredible diversity of small reef creatures — cleaning shrimp, arrow crabs, juvenile spotted drums, and tiny flamingo tongues. Nurse sharks rest under the larger overhangs while schools of blue chromis hover above the coral canopy. A magical site for slow, observant diving.
