West Point at Lighthouse Reef is an advanced dive at the atoll's exposed western edge where strong currents sweep along a dramatic wall teeming with large marine life. The wall drops from 12 meters to well beyond recreational limits, its face covered with massive purple sea fans and black coral gardens. This is prime territory for pelagic encounters — eagle rays, bull sharks, and large schools of jacks regularly patrol the wall edge. The current can be powerful and unpredictable, demanding excellent buoyancy skills and experience, but rewarding with some of Lighthouse Reef's most spectacular big-animal diving.
