Crawl Cay at northern Turneffe is an advanced dive on a remote section of the atoll known for exceptional encounters with large marine predators. The reef here drops steeply into the deep channel separating Turneffe from the mainland barrier reef, creating a migration corridor for pelagic species. Bull sharks, hammerheads, and large groupers are regularly sighted along the wall. The coral health on this rarely visited section is outstanding, with pristine deepwater gorgonian gardens and massive sponge formations. Strong currents are common, requiring advanced skills, but the combination of pristine reef and big-animal action is unmatched.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
