Pelican Cay at Turneffe Islands is an advanced dive off a small bird-nesting island where the nutrient runoff from the seabird colony supports extraordinarily rich marine life below. The reef drops steeply from the island's fringing reef into the deep channel, with the nutrient-enriched waters promoting dense coral and sponge growth. Large schools of snappers and grunts congregate near the wall, attracting reef sharks and large barracuda. The bird-enriched ecosystem creates a unique food chain where the marine and terrestrial worlds intersect, resulting in some of the densest fish aggregations at Turneffe.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
