One Hook is an advanced dive to 40 meters off Providencia Island in Colombia's Caribbean archipelago. Named for a distinctive hook-shaped coral formation, this site features dramatic reef architecture with overhangs, swim-throughs, and vertical walls. The reef structure hosts large barrel sponges, gorgonian fans, and colonies of elkhorn coral in the shallower sections. Schools of horse-eye jacks, barracuda, and occasional reef sharks patrol the deeper waters. Strong currents require advanced buoyancy skills but deliver exceptional visibility and encounters with larger marine species.
