
El Pequeño Reino (The Little Kingdom) is a beginner-friendly dive at Isla de la Juventud in Cuba. This charming shallow reef site features a miniature underwater kingdom of coral heads, small swim-throughs, and sandy gardens teeming with marine life. The reef hosts an impressive variety of small Caribbean species including damselfish, gobies, blennies, and juvenile angelfish, making it an excellent site for macro photography. Cleaning stations attract larger fish for grooming, and hermit crabs and sea cucumbers roam the sandy areas. The gentle depth and calm conditions make El Pequeño Reino a delightful dive for beginners and a hidden gem for photographers.
