Salon Maravilloso

Salón Maravilloso (Marvelous Hall) is an advanced dive at Isla de la Juventud in Cuba. This spectacular site features a large underwater cavern with cathedral-like dimensions, where sunlight penetrates through openings in the rock ceiling to create dramatic light shows on the cave floor. The cavern walls are decorated with colorful sponges and corals, while schools of silversides create shimmering curtains of silver in the light beams. Large tarpon cruise through the hall, and the surrounding reef outside features pristine coral gardens. Advanced cave training is recommended for the full penetration, making Salón Maravilloso one of the most dramatic and photogenic dive sites in all of Cuba.
