Wreck Ancón is an advanced wreck dive near Trinidad's Ancón Peninsula on Cuba's southern coast. This site features a sizeable shipwreck resting on the seabed near the historic port area, its hull now serving as an artificial reef colonized by coral, sponges, and sea fans. The wreck structure provides shelter for large groupers, moray eels, and lobsters, while dense schools of snappers and grunts swirl around the vessel. Nurse sharks patrol the sandy areas surrounding the wreck. The deeper depth and current exposure require advanced skills, but Wreck Ancón combines fascinating maritime history with Cuba's exceptional marine biodiversity for a memorable dive experience.
